I still can’t believe that this is my job now! Shifting towards aviation from medical field was tough because it took me out of my comfort zone. I had to sacrifice my time with my family and friends just to pursue my dream. I knew back then that I just want to be spontaneous and dreamt of traveling around the world. Here I am now a Certified Flight attendant. I didn’t expect that this job would be really tough. You have to have the guts and perseverance to go down the pressure. I had to go series of interviews and spent 2 months of training. You have to be very well disciplined and at the same time have fun just to ease the stress and pressure.
After months of training and passed my actual flight test. I’m traveling now from different States in the US and Canada. My first flight experience was terrible. I was nervous because of the weather conditions and a little turbulence would really scare me. But my faith and prayers help me weather the storm. Right now I got used to it and I’m enjoying my job. I get to travel from different States, sleep with 5 star hotels, explore great foods and learn from different cultures.
This is just the first step of my dream. I know I have a long way to go. I hope this experience of mine will help inspire others to go for what they really want. More than willing to step out of their comfort zone. Take the risks in life that seem worth taking and always put “GOD” first in everything that you do. Enjoy life and hope to see some of your faces in the friendly skies!
